Old School Bar-B-Que Pits!

by Tim Sanford on 06/03/12

So I just installed a new patio, pergola and outdoor kitchen at may family farm and was going to install a firelplace.  Half way through construction of the fireplace, oyster season hit and I wanted to change it to a fire pit to grill oysters.   Instead, I decided to convert the partially constructed fireplace into an old school bar-b-que pit!  A great structure to serve two purposes: a bar-b-que and a fireplace all in one!

We recently installed a quiet little get-a-way in a customer's yard, complete with a bar-b-que pit.  A great way to cook over an open flame and a place to warm up on a cool winter night.  Here are a few pictures of the finished product.  Enjoy!

A close up of the Bar-B-Que Pit!  Take out the grill racks for a great fire!
